Abby Zoo can’t sleep—again. In the Northwest Territories, the summer sun doesn’t set, and her room is hot and bright. Making matters worse, there’s a mosquito who won’t leave her alone! She calls for her parents, but they say what they always say when she has a problem: “Just ignore it.” They treat her like the mosquito—the one that’s buzzing around her head.
Instead of brushing the insect off, Abby decides to put herself in its shoes. She feels herself shrink to the size of a bug. And her nose grows long and pointy. She has wings and six thin legs. Not only is she treated like a mosquito—she is a mosquito! But Abby Zoo quickly realizes mosquitos have feelings, too, and she and her new friend hatch a plan to get them the respect they deserve.
